ENDING OF PROJECT FEADER 2017-039A

“FOLERPAS. XEADO LACTOFUNCIONAL”

GALLANOVA NORTE HAS COMPLETED THE EXECUTION OF THE PROJECT “FOLERPAS – XEADO LACTOFUNCIONAL”, STARTED IN 2017 AND COMPLETED IN JANUARY 2020, UNDER THE INNOVATION AID OF THE GALICIAN PDR 2014-2020.

THIS PROJECT WAS DEVELOPED WITH THE COLLABORATION OF THE CIAM PUBLIC RESEARCH CENTER OF MABEGONDO, BELONGING TO THE GALICIAN INSTITUTE OF AGRI-FOOD QUALITY (INGACAL) OF THE RURAL ENVIRONMENT COUNCIL OF THE XUNTA DE GALICIA.

AS A RESULT OF ITS THE EXECUTION, GALLANOVA NORTE ACHIEVED THE POSSIBILITY OF INTRODUCING INTO THE MARKET A NEW DAIRY PRODUCT, A TYPE OF ARTISAN ICE CREAM, WITH HIGH ADDED VALUE AND BIOHEALTHY PROFILE, SUITABLE FOR DIETARY APPLICATIONS IN CHILDREN, THE ELDERLY AND PEOPLE WITH DIABETIC PROBLEMS.

WHICH HAS THE FOLLOWING CHARACTERISTICS:

1º SUPERIOR QUALITY IN FLAVOR AND PRESENTATION.

2º BIOHEALTHY CHARACTER DUE TO THE DIFFERENTIATED PROFILE OF FATTY ACIDS.

3º ABSENCE OF SUGAR IN THE RECIPE (SUCROSE) WITHOUT LOSS OF ORGANOLEPTIC PROPERTIES, OR THE QUALITY OF THE EMULSION, BOTH OF THE LIPOPHILIC PHASE DISSOLVED IN WATER, AND OF THE FOAM TYPE EMULSION (AIR) DURING MIXING.

THE CIAM OF MABEGONDO PRODUCED 16 DIFFERENT MILKS WITH A BIOHEALTHY FATTY ACIDS PROFILE, BASED ON THE DIET MANAGEMENT OF GRAZING LIVESTOCK, WITH LITTLE CONCENTRATES IN THE DIET, AND ADDITIVES OBTAINED FROM CHESTNUT EXTRACTS.

WE ALSO REACHED THE POSSIBILITY OF TRANSFERRING KNOW-HOW IN THE FIELD OF BIOHEALTHY MILK PRODUCTION THROUGH THE MANAGEMENT OF FEEDING SYSTEMS AND THE ADDICTION OF CHESTNUT EXTRACTS TO THE CONCENTRATED RATIONS FOR THE HERDS OF COWS IN PRODUCTION.
